High Octane And Action Packed Thrills

Top Shonen of All Time

With some of the heaviest hitters in anime its no wonder Shonen has garnered the attention it has over the years. Shonen has captured the boyish charm perfectly in how their shows and movies portray themselves. Firstly, as I have come to be corrected recently, Shonen’s primary target audience is boys. It’s not specifically limited to action and violence even though that’s what most boys do enjoy in film and TV. That’s why some shows you wouldn’t expect to be Shonen are some of the biggest hitters. But we’re going to focus on some of the heaviest hitters.

Bleach. You’ve most likely heard of it. In the same category as Naruto and One Piece, Bleach is filled with intense action, amazing spectacle and intricately designed power systems that get the heart pumping and the brain running at a million miles an hour! With Bleach’s design and dedication to strong lovable characters its no wonder this show easily ranked among the Big Three. Bleach created an entire intricate system that many still reference today. And while the list is ever changing of top anime with heavy hitters like My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen, Bleach remains timeless with episodes in the hundreds and movies to boot.

When it comes to Shonen one must realize that anything that makes a little boy look at their screen in wonder and think “hell yeah” is what makes this genre so powerful. I have spoken to many people who have given me their top Shonen picks and while their opinions are wrong there is no wrong answer to what is the best Shonen of all time. Anime is highly personal and when you realize that and celebrate the differences between some of the best anime you find yourself appreciating not only the classics but the newer entries trying to make a name for themselves.

And if this interests you head to our Articles pages where we go in depth on exactly what makes Shonen so special!

Best Action-Packed Anime

When talking about which action anime is the best everyone comes up with their own answers. And while they aren’t wrong, even though they are, there are some objectively phenomenal anime that have graced the action and Shonen genre. One of which is Fire Force.

I’ve heard from a couple people that this show isn’t to their liking, and I completely understand why. The writing comes off cringy at times and some moments between characters just seem forced. Especially in this anime. But this anime has something Shonen shows dream of being able to have even a fraction of.

Style. This show has so much style you feel every impact of every punch, kick, bullet, explosion you name it and you feel it. With insane visuals mixed with some of the greatest sound design to ever grace the internet, Fire Force shines as a beacon of what Shonen should be. Stupid hard hitting fun with fights that have you jumping in your seats. Further, more in-depth, Articles will go over this show and its amazing promise while also comparing to some close competitors and objectively better Shonen. Shonen Anime That Made Waves

I disagree when people say that those in the top 5 are what made waves in the anime industry and are the pinnacle of Shonen. Because I find the smaller more niche anime tend to make the greatest waves. Sure the Big Three have punches and kicks and sword fights but does that mean that they have style? Sometimes not.

Not like what Mob Psycho 100 has. With art style in its fight scenes that literally blow the panel away to designs on powers and their evolution shows volumes on their intense power scaling. This show makes you sit in awe watching the same couple minutes over and over because its that unbelievable.

And when it comes to style few can every stand next to Spy X Family. With insanely choreographed fight scenes to heartwarming and well written characters this show makes you laugh and smile whether your watching someone fight or simply watching Anya attempt to do her best. There’s something for everyone.
