7th Time Loop: Live Your Life To Its Fullest
7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy was developed by Studio Kai. It was developed from a light novel of the same name created by Touko Amekawa. Airing in January of 2024 the story follows a young woman named Rishe who finds herself repeatedly reliving her life after each time she dies. She wakes after each life having her engagement to the prince called off.
Each new life she lives she pushes towards learning new things and living new ways. However, her story takes a turn when a young man, who is responsible for her multiple deaths, takes a liking to her and decides to make her his princess. We follow her relationship with this man and how they learn to understand each other.
This is a rather cute anime. When I watched a few episodes I came across it and found it was a wonderful break from some of the more complicated premises of slice of life. Where most slice-of-life anime like complicated and convoluted plots, 7th Time Loop takes a light and fluffy approach making you focus on the fun of the series that isn’t meant to be taken seriously.

Half the time the situations are so obviously scripted, as they usually are, that it comes across as absurdly funny. A simple scoff and a roll of the eyes while you smile.
However, the underlying message of this anime is very clear: Make the most of your life. 7th Time Loop conveys the obvious message that your life is yours to live, and there are multiple ways to live it. You can be who you want when you want, but that doesn’t mean it can’t suddenly end.
Your life should be lived with no regrets. Every action should have a purpose. Every day should be used to the fullest. And everything should be done for the people around you and yourself. It’s a beautiful message that I haven’t seen talked about in the show yet.

Watching 7th Time Loop has a nice comfy feel to it. I love how the art style is so gorgeous, and it looks exactly like light novels these days. They have some amazing animation technology coming out these days and with all of the CGI nonsense that keeps seeping its way into the genre, it’s good to see real gorgeous and focused animation.
If you haven’t already, I recommend giving this one a good watch. I can’t stress enough how calming and quirky this anime is. It’s great to put alongside some work or games if you feel so inclined.
